Aspit AS is a specialized software company providing technology services to the Norwegian healthcare sector. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Seljord, the company has established a significant presence in the market for electronic health record (EHR) systems. This partnership led to the development of new solutions, Envision and Capture, which enable clinicians to securely send and receive medical images, videos, and documents. In June 2021, Aspit was acquired by Nordhealth, a global provider of cloud-based Practice Management Software, for approximately NOK 400 million. At the time of the acquisition, Aspit reported revenues of NOK 67 million in 2020 and had 55 employees. The acquisition aimed to combine resources and technology to accelerate product development and expand service offerings. Dag Helge Haslekås, who served as CEO for twenty years leading up to the acquisition, highlighted the alignment of values between the two companies, including long-term planning and a customer-centric approach.
