A significant early achievement for Artimi was securing a Series A funding round of $14 million in July 2004. This investment was co-led by prominent venture capital firms including Index Ventures, Accel Partners, and Amadeus Capital Partners Ltd., with participation from Oak Investment Partners. The capital was intended to advance the delivery of its UWB technology to customers. This followed an initial seed funding of over $1 million in October 2003. The company later secured an additional $26.5 million in a Series B round, bringing its total funds raised to a substantial figure.

Artimi's core product was a single-chip solution that integrated an analog front end, baseband, and MAC for UWB applications. The initial generation of its devices operated in the 3 to 5 GHz frequency band, with a subsequent generation planned to extend coverage from 5 GHz to 10 GHz. The company's strategic approach in the midst of the developing UWB standards was to create a flexible design that could be adapted once a dominant standard emerged, whether it was the Multiband OFDM Alliance (MBOA) or the direct-sequence UWB (DS-UWB) proposal. The company was ultimately acquired in November 2008.
