Arsenal Digital Solutions, founded in 1998, was a provider of on-demand data protection services. The company, headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, specialized in solutions for server and personal computer data protection, backup and recovery, business continuity, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance. Its target market included small and mid-market businesses as well as large enterprises that needed to manage increasing data growth and regulatory requirements. Arsenal Digital's business model operated on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) basis, delivering its suite of information protection solutions online.

The company's offerings were built on a scalable, on-demand services architecture designed for automated infrastructure management. This platform provided managed services for backup, disaster recovery, and storage resource management, serving approximately 3,400 customers. In addition to direct services, Arsenal Digital also enabled other service providers, like telecommunication companies, to rebrand and resell its online backup services. The company was acquired by International Business Machines (IBM) in a deal announced in December 2007 and completed on February 1, 2008. Following the acquisition, Arsenal Digital Solutions, with its 100 employees, was integrated into IBM's Global Technology Services division, specifically within the Business Continuity and Resiliency Services (BCRS) unit, and its services were rebranded as IBM Information Protection Services to Managed Data Vault.
