Arc Media Six

Arc Media is a prominent South Korean drama production company co-founded by Kim Han-sang and An Chang-hyun. Established on July 4, 2019, originally as Iyagi Sanyangkkun (이야기사냥꾼, literally "Story Hunter"), the company merged with another firm named Arc Media in September 2021 and adopted its current name. This merger created one of the largest independent drama production houses in the country.

Co-CEO An Chang-hyun brought extensive industry experience to the company, having previously worked as an assistant director at broadcaster KBS and as a production head at SM C&C, where he oversaw several projects before leading his own production companies and eventually Arc Media. His first production as a lead was 'Queen for Seven Days'.

The company's business model covers the entire production value chain, from original idea and intellectual property (IP) development to securing talent, managing product placement (PPL), marketing, and global distribution. Arc Media produces content for a range of clients, including domestic television channels like KBS and major global over-the-top (OTT) platforms such as Disney+. A significant milestone occurred in January 2023 when the company secured a major investment from Kakao Entertainment, which reportedly elevated its valuation to unicorn status, making it one of the fastest-growing companies in its sector to achieve this.

Arc Media is behind several internationally recognized K-dramas, including 'The King's Affection' ('Yeonmo'), which won the Telenovela award at the 50th International Emmy Awards, and 'Casino', which was named Best Picture at the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards. Other notable productions include 'May of Youth', 'Crazy Love', and 'Kiss Sixth Sense'.
