APYSwap

APYSwap, which now operates as APYS, is a decentralized protocol focused on providing cross-chain liquidity and yield optimization within the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector. The project's core function is to facilitate the decentralized exchange of shares in Tokenized Vaults. It achieves this by employing a Layer 2 blockchain solution, enabling users to trustlessly swap accounts and assets across various Layer 1 blockchains, including Ethereum, Polkadot, and Binance Smart Chain.

The project underwent a significant evolution in January 2022, rebranding from APYSwap to APYS and shifting its strategic direction. Coinciding with this change, the original CEO, Andriy Velykyy, and CTO, Yuriy Savchenko, transitioned to lead Allbridge, a project incubated by APYSwap, while remaining as advisors. Anton Romankov, a veteran in the cryptocurrency space since 2016, assumed the role of CEO. Under his leadership, APYS is being developed into an automated investment strategy platform built on the NEAR Protocol, with future integration planned for the Aurora network.

The protocol operates through the APYSwap Foundation, which aims to build an ecosystem of interconnected crypto projects to enhance cross-chain interoperability for both users and developers. The native utility token, APYS, is central to the ecosystem. It is used for governance, allowing holders to vote on protocol upgrades and fee structures, as well as for staking to earn rewards and participate in liquidity mining programs. The business model centers on generating value through its suite of DeFi products and partnerships within its ecosystem. Trading of the APYS token occurs on both centralized and decentralized cryptocurrency exchanges.
