The company was based in Richardson, Texas, in the United States. On March 9, 2010, AppTrigger was acquired by Metaswitch Networks, a UK-based telecommunications software company. This acquisition was a strategic move for Metaswitch to enter the service broker market and expand its IP migration solutions for global carriers. At the time of the acquisition, Chris Todd served as the CEO of AppTrigger. The deal added approximately 30 AppTrigger employees to Metaswitch's staff.
