Financially, Apacheta was a venture-backed company, having raised $7.2 million over three funding rounds, with investors including Palisades Growth Capital and Blacksmith Capital. The company demonstrated significant growth, reportedly doubling its customer base and increasing revenue by 75 percent in the year leading up to mid-2016. The acquisition by Brightree, which is owned by ResMed, marked a strategic move to integrate Apacheta's mobile solutions more deeply into the Brightree platform and expand its reach within the healthcare sector. Following the acquisition, the Apacheta team and its Media, Pennsylvania, operations were merged into Brightree.
