Alpima

Alpima was a business-to-business financial technology firm that provided a cloud-native SaaS platform for the front office of the investment management industry. The company was founded in London in 2014 by Pierre Mendelsohn, an engineer who previously worked for two decades at leading investment banks in New York, London, and Hong Kong, focusing on quantitative investment strategies. Mendelsohn, who served as CEO, passed away in November 2021.

The firm's platform was designed for banks, asset managers, wealth managers, and other financial institutions. It enabled clients to rapidly design products, construct and optimize portfolios, and create interactive visualizations for personalization at scale. The service was delivered on a white-label basis, integrating with clients' existing systems and data to help them manage portfolios and create customized investment strategies. Alpima served notable clients such as BBVA, Julius Bär, and Natixis.

In November 2022, Alpima was acquired by Quantifeed, a Hong Kong-based wealth management technology provider. The acquisition was a strategic move to create a combined global software platform with comprehensive capabilities across the entire portfolio management spectrum, from portfolio construction and risk analytics to order management and reporting. The merged entity supports financial institutions across Asia, EMEA, and the Americas.
