Alpha Exchange

In 2015, the London-based company Alpha Exchange was founded by Scott Winship, Emma Margetts, and Alex Correia Santos. They created an online marketplace designed to connect investors, brokers, and research providers, allowing users to monetize and share capital market research. This platform aimed to create a more efficient way for financial professionals to discover and consume valuable investment insights. The company's journey took a significant turn in June 2017 when it secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding from the accelerator Techstars. This investment provided the resources to further develop its innovative platform. Just a few months later, in November 2017, Alpha Exchange was acquired by Visible Alpha, a financial technology company. The acquisition was a strategic move to integrate Alpha Exchange's research discovery and management technology into Visible Alpha's broader suite of services, creating a more comprehensive solution for investment professionals. Co-founder Emma Margetts expressed excitement about joining the Visible Alpha team to continue executing their shared vision of a smarter way to consume investment research.
