Aeris Cleantec AG, operating as Aeris, is a Swiss company specializing in the design and manufacturing of high-performance air purifiers. The company was founded in 2015 by Pierre Bi and Constantin Overlack, two engineering graduates from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich. The inspiration for Aeris came after the founders experienced the poor air quality in Beijing during a six-month visit in 2013, which motivated them to develop a more effective air purification solution.

The company's core business revolves around selling premium air purifiers to a global market that includes residential consumers as well as commercial clients like schools, hospitals, and other businesses. Aeris' products utilize customized H13/H14 HEPA filters, capable of removing a high percentage of airborne pollutants such as allergens, smoke, odors, pet dander, viruses, and bacteria. Some models also incorporate activated carbon filters for odor and gas pollutant removal. A key feature of Aeris' purifiers is their smart functionality; they are equipped with sensors and can be controlled via a mobile app, allowing users to monitor air quality, adjust settings, and enable the device to learn and adapt to their habits.

The business operates through direct online sales and a network of distributors, with a presence in Asia, Europe, and the United States. On November 18, 2021, Aeris was acquired by iRobot Corp., a U.S.-based leader in consumer robots, for a sum reported to be in the high two-digit millions. This strategic acquisition was intended to expand iRobot's product portfolio into the growing air purification market and leverage iRobot's global marketing and distribution network to accelerate the Aeris brand's growth. Following the acquisition, founders Pierre Bi (CEO) and Constantin Overlack (COO) joined iRobot to lead the air purification product operations, along with their team of over 30 employees.
