In 1989, in the Hauts-de-France region, Catherine and Jacques Boisleux founded Staphyt with a clear mission: to provide expert experimentation for plant protection products. Their venture began as a service provider for the agricultural sector, focusing on field trials and regulatory consulting. This foundation in agronomic research set the stage for decades of steady, strategic expansion. The company’s growth was methodical, built on both internal development and a consistent policy of external acquisitions. Over the years, Staphyt expanded its services from field trials to include regulatory affairs, laboratory services, and specialized consulting for biocides and chemicals. This expansion wasn't just in services but also geographic. A series of acquisitions, including Agrobiocontrol in Italy, Agchem Project Consulting in the UK, and Peracto in Australia and New Zealand, transformed Staphyt from a French company into a European and then global player. In 2018, a significant leadership transition occurred as the founders' son, Arthur Boisleux, took over as president, continuing the family's growth-oriented vision. A pivotal moment arrived in March 2025, when Staphyt opened its capital to a consortium of minority investors, including Unigrains and Bpifrance. This was not a sale, but a strategic partnership to fuel the next phase of development. The investment aims to accelerate diversification, enhance its global network, and continue its external growth strategy in a fragmented market.
