The HzE-Portal, operated by Sozialwesen Digital GmbH, provides a digital platform designed to streamline the placement process for youth welfare services across Germany. It facilitates efficient, needs-based matching of children and young people with available places in residential care facilities. The platform serves both public youth welfare offices and independent care providers, aiming to simplify their collaboration and workflows. For youth welfare offices, the portal offers a way to quickly search for and request suitable placements, reducing administrative workload and enabling better data-supported youth welfare planning. For independent providers, the platform allows them to list their available spots, manage standardized requests, and fill vacancies, which is offered as a permanently free service.
The company was co-founded by Tim Schlößer (CEO), Mark Keßler (CTO), and Felix Bodendiek (Subject Matter Expert). The founding team combines expertise from different fields. Tim Schlößer has a background in economics and experience as a political advisor and IT project manager for public administration. Mark Keßler is a physicist with over 23 years of experience as a software engineer, architect, and technical project lead. Felix Bodendiek brings direct industry experience as a social worker, political scientist, and former head of the Lüchow-Dannenberg district youth welfare office and several residential care facilities. Their collective mission is to digitize administrative processes within the youth welfare system, thereby freeing up time for social workers to focus on direct engagement with children and families.
